Inspired by these books (and thankful to be living in twenty-first century Chicago) Jason and I took to foot to see the work of architects Daniel Burnham, John Root, and Frank Lloyd Wright. My favorite building is the Rookery with it's amazing glass ceiling.
Next up was Hyde Park, the scene of the World's Fair, University of Chicago, Frank Lloyd Wright houses, and President Obama's home. We took to bike this time (and threw in some BBQ). Much of the fair grounds are no longer but one building still stands: the Museum of Science and Industry. We spent the rest of the rainy day checking out the exhibits.

Loved the Devil in the White City and have never been to Chicago. I've heard amazing things and look forward to more of your blog posts. You guys live there now?
