One of the largest perks about our new place is that it is across the street from Lincoln Park. Living in a city it has been really nice having green space near by. The park is HUGE and it hosts the Green City farmer's market every Wednesday and Saturday, the Lincoln Park Conservatory, the Nature Museum, and a free zoo. Since the weather has been remarkably nice the park has been busy with activities and people. Anytime after 4 it's full of people enjoying their after-work jogs and bike rides. I'm not kidding every person who lives in our neighborhood is home from work and in workout clothes. At first I was weirded out... how could this be?! Everyone is in shape and works out! A few weeks in, I have now deducted that people are actually living in a good-weather haze and like bears, storing up for winter.
So a little background about Jason and myself: Jason likes to jog; I don't. But when the zoo is thrown into negotiations my stance against running begins to waiver.
Lately our conversations have gone:
Me: We should go workout.
Jason: It's really nice outside we should not got to the gym and instead workout outside.
Me: That's true, we should probably take advantage of the weather before arctic winds strike!
Jason: Want to go for a jog?
Me: No.
Jason: We can go for a jog through the zoo?
Me: Okay!
Here are some pictures I have taken on our zoo jogs...
