We snuck in a performance last weekend of American Legends by the Joffrey Ballet.
The show was a collection of contemporary American dance, starting off with Interplay a fun, jazzy, number originally performed in 1945 and ending with nine Frank Sinatra songs paired with difference ballroom styles. It was fun to watch the ballerinas' (an os') renditions of the tango, waltz, and quickstep. As you could imagine their talent and technique stretched well beyond ballet and mastered ballroom.
